Founded in 1935, and now in our third generation, family-owned Summers Printing Company is based in St. Louis, MO. We provide comprehensive and cost-effective solutions for offset and digital printing.
Our core business encompasses a broad spectrum of custom printing, from simple business cards, letterheads, and envelopes, to complex full-color marketing campaigns.
In addition to 1-color thru 4-color lithography, other printing processes include thermography, foil-stamping and embossing.

FILE PREPARATION
- HINTS, TIPS & TRICKS -
When printing too close to the paper's edge, or if bleed borders exist on any edge, natural shifting in the cutting process creates the potential for imbalances.
Extend bleeds a minimum of 1/8".
If your job requires multiple folds, one or more panels may require a "short panel" - usually between
1/16" and 1/8".
Although full-color process represents PMS spot colors, there are differences in producing each technique. Therefore, full-color process and spot colors may differ in appearance (some colors
more significantly than others).
Full-color jobs should be saved in CMYK (not RGB).
Spot color jobs should be converted to spot color (not CMYK).
All hi-res scans should be a minimum of 300 DPI; web images are not recommended as they are usually only 72 DPI.
When sending a PDF file, fonts must be outlined or embedded, and remember to include all linked images prior to creating a PDF.
PDF proofs are only a visual representation of the final product. Therefore, due to variations in monitor color profiles, PDF proofs should not be used for critical color accuracy.
